Brussels: The European Union has expressed alarm over the recent military escalation in the Middle East, condemning the latest wave of Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. It also deplores the attacks on Saudi commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to European Union, these actions are violations of international law, and the EU is calling for de-escalation and adherence to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. The EU emphasizes the importance of all parties refraining from actions that could further destabilize the region and threaten peace efforts.
The EU also stresses the need for the protection of civilians, urging all parties to respect international humanitarian law.
