European Stocks Climb as ECB Holds Rates and Earnings Boost Sentiment

Brussels:European stock indexes saw an upward trend on Thursday after the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to maintain current interest rates. Investors were buoyed by a wave of largely positive corporate earnings.

According to Jordan News Agency, the pan-European STOXX 600 index increased by 0.82 percent by the close of trading.

The boost in the stock market was driven by improved investor sentiment following the ECB's monetary policy decision. Positive earnings reports further supported the market's upward movement. Among the major European indexes, Germany's DAX saw the most significant rise, climbing 1.36 percent. France's CAC index also experienced a healthy gain of 1.05 percent, while Britain's FTSE rose by 0.26 percent by the end of the trading day.
