EU to start electricity trade with Ukraine by month’s end

-European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) Tuesday said that the electricity trade between Ukraine and the EU would start at the end of June.

According to the official website of the European Union, this would be the next step in integrating Ukraine’s energy systems with Europe, and it has gained special significance now that it has obtained the status of a candidate country for the EU.

TSOs noted that the gradual increase in electricity trade is particularly important against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian war on Ukraine and will allow Ukraine to earn revenue to support its energy sector.

The European Union will provide additional electricity at reasonable prices.
