Amman: The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) on Saturday fixed at zero the fuel price difference tariff on the electricity bill for the month of December. It is the same rate set for the current month of November, said EMRC Board Chairman Ziad Saideh.
According to Jordan News Agency, the decision to maintain the fuel price difference tariff at zero reflects a continuity in the pricing strategy adopted by the commission. This move is expected to provide stability for consumers regarding their electricity bills for the upcoming month.
The fuel price difference tariff is a critical component of the electricity bill, as it adjusts the costs based on fluctuations in fuel prices. Keeping this tariff at zero suggests that there have been no significant changes in fuel prices or other contributing factors that would necessitate an adjustment.
EMRC’s commitment to maintaining the same tariff for December as in November indicates a concerted effort to manage energy costs effectively for consumers. Th
e commission’s decision aligns with its ongoing strategy to ensure transparent and predictable energy pricing.
