Eight Jordanian Students Awarded Chinese Ambassador Scholarship.

Amman: Eight Jordanian students have been awarded the prestigious Chinese Ambassador Scholarship to pursue their studies in Chinese universities. The announcement came from the Chinese Embassy in Amman, which revealed that these students were selected from a pool of 50 candidates.

According to Jordan News Agency, an award ceremony was held on Wednesday evening, where Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Chen Chuandong, presented the scholarships. The event was attended by the students’ families, highlighting the importance of this educational opportunity. Ambassador Chen emphasized that the scholarship initiative represents the strong commitment of China and Jordan towards education and youth development. He pointed out that this effort is an investment in the long-standing friendship and a shared future between the two nations.

The ambassador also noted a significant increase in scholarship applicants this year, attributing this to a growing enthusiasm for educational and cultural collaboration between Jordan and
China. He mentioned that the cultural cooperation between the two countries serves as a model of friendship, with an impressive number of 700 Chinese students currently studying in Jordanian universities.

Ibrahim Al-Amoush, the Director of the Scholarships Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, praised the scholarship program as a testament to the robust ties between Jordan and China. He highlighted that the scholarships not only enhance educational and cultural cooperation but also play a crucial role in supporting the development of Jordanian youth.

During the ceremony, several scholarship recipients expressed their gratitude to China and pledged to act as ambassadors of goodwill. They aim to further strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
