Egyptian Air Cairo Launches First Regular Flight to Amman

Amman: Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) recently welcomed the inaugural Air Cairo flight from Egypt’s capital, Cairo, marking the commencement of a new scheduled route between Cairo and Amman. This initial flight carried 150 passengers representing multiple nationalities.

According to Jordan News Agency, the introduction of this route underscores the robust tourist and economic exchanges between Jordan and Egypt, highlighting the significance of direct connectivity. The new service will operate twice a week, with flights scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The maiden flight is a significant step in bolstering bilateral relations, emphasizing the role of this airline in enhancing travel, tourism, and trade exchanges between the two nations. Air Cairo, the economic arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, aims to expand its network through this new route, providing efficient aviation services to meet the diverse needs of travelers amid increasing demand for trips between Egypt and Jordan.

The regular operation of these flights is anticipated to support the tourism and travel sectors further, easing the movement for business travelers, students, and residents, thus reinforcing the longstanding ties between the two countries. QAIA celebrated the arrival of Flight SM217 from Cairo, with Flight SM218 departing Amman back to Cairo International Airport.
