Education Ministry issues communique on school hours

Minister of Education, Wajih Owais, issued a communique determining school hours following the government’s decision to keep summer time (daylight saving time) year-round.

Under the circular, a copy of which was obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) and was issued today, stated that as of Sunday 10/30/2022 until Sunday 2/4/2023 school hours will be changed to be as follows:

The morning assembly in schools with one period to start at 8:15, the first class to start at 8:30, and the class duration is 45 minutes.

The morning assembly in schools with two periods to start at 8:15, the first class to start at 8:30, the class duration is 35 minutes, the evening assembly to start at 12:50, the first class to start at at 1:00, and the class duration is 35 minutes.

According to the circular schools will open at 7:45.
