Cairo: The Eastern Military Zone thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics within its area of responsibility. The drugs were transported using balloons guided by rudimentary devices.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was carried out inside Jordanian territory after the narcotics were detected by border guards in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The seized materials were handed over to the competent authorities for necessary action.
