Amman: The Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday evening thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using electronically guided balloons.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) stated that Border Guard units detected, engaged, and downed the balloons and their cargo inside Jordanian territory. This operation was conducted in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The statement further mentioned that the seized materials have been referred to the relevant authorities to take legal action.
