Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Economic Affairs – Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Abu Lahum, and the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Amin Al-Masawa, today inaugurated the afforestation and rehabilitation project on the central island of 60th Street in the Al-Ta’iziyah District, “the first phase.” .
The inauguration of the project comes within a package of projects that were agreed upon, namely ‘rehabilitating and planting the central island of Al-Hawban Al-Rahida Road, which starts from Alebel transport to Al-Rahida, rehabilitating Al-Hawban Street to Alqasr tour, and implementing 4 aesthetic models in a number of sites.’
The work on these projects comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, to the Ministry of Finance to work with local authorities to implement a program to improve the aesthetic appearance of cities.
The streets will be provided with irrigation systems, and two means of
transportation will be provided to permanently irrigate trees in the main streets.
