Scores of Jewish extremist settlers early Sunday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied East Jerusalem, according to an official Palestinian source.
The Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs said in a statement that today’s raid was conducted through al-Magharebah Gate in successive groups under the heavy protection of Israeli special police.
“The settlers performed Talmudic rituals and provocatively toured the Mosque’s yards, while Muslim worshipers peacefully confronted them,” it added.
