Discussing UNICEF interventions and OCHA activities in Hodeida

The Director of the Branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hodeida, Jaber Al-Razhi, discussed today,Saturday, with the Acting Humanitarian Coordinator, representative of UNICEF in Yemen, Peter Hawkins, and the Director of the OCHA Office, Marcus Kitajiya, humanitarian interventions and ways to strengthen them. At the meeting, the Director of the Supreme Council Branch touched on the importance of strengthening the interventions of UNICEF and the OCHA office to keep pace with the need in the targeted areas to achieve the goals of humanitarian work and to serve its paths properly. He noted the necessity of continuous coordination with the Council's branch in the province to overcome the difficulties facing the progress of humanitarian work in the field, stressing the readiness to provide all facilities and overcome difficulties in implementing all humanitarian work that serves the targeted segments in the province. For their part, the representative of UNICEF and the director of the OCHA office in Yemen confirmed their readiness to make more efforts to work on expanding the projects according to the available capabilities and in a way that helps alleviate the suffering of citizens in the governorate.
