Digital Skills Program Empowers Jordanian Youth in 2025

Amman: The Digital Skills for a Better Future program continued in 2025 to equip young men and women in Jordan with digital skills that are aligned with labor market needs, under a partnership between Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Jordan, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

According to Jordan News Agency, some 2,253 young people completed training last year in core digital skills, e-commerce website design, graphic design, social media management, Python programming, full-stack web development, and mobile application development, as stated in a press release by Dot Jordan.

Dot Jordan Director Hamza Shraideh said the program reflects the organization's commitment to developing digital initiatives that directly respond to youth needs and labor market demands. He emphasized the impactful role that such initiatives play in equipping the younger generation with necessary skills.

He mentioned that the partnership with UNICEF and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship was instrumental in expanding the program's reach and ensuring access for youth across governorates and refugee camps. This collaboration has been crucial in addressing the digital divide and promoting inclusivity.

Shraideh noted that the focus on digital skills, employability, and inclusion has enabled young people to actively participate in the digital economy and contribute to long-term economic development. The initiative not only fosters personal growth but also supports broader economic goals.
