The Lower House Palestine Committee warned of exacerbating conditions during the holy month of Ramadan due to the blatant Israeli attacks and systematic provocation against Al-Aqsa Mosque’s sanctity.
In a statement on Thursday, the committee called on ending Israeli incursions into the occupied Palestinian cities and halting campaigns against the Palestinian people.
The committee’s head, MP Fayez Basbous, decried Israel’s military escalation and its unilateral steps and illegal measures, which would ignite further violence.
Basbous said Israel’s continuous violations, incursions and attacks on Jerusalem’s sanctities would lead to a cycle of violence and reactions by Palestinian people.
In addition, the committee affirmed its support for the Palestinian people in obtaining their legitimate rights and resuming negotiations to achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution and respect international legitimacy resolutions to achieve the region’s peace and stability.
