Deputizing for King, Prince Faisal Attends Ceremony Marking Al Israa wal Miraj

Amman: Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Hussein attended a religious ceremony to commemorate the Al Israa wal Miraj anniversary. The event was attended by senior civilian and military officials and was organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places at the Islamic Cultural Center, which is affiliated with the King Abdullah I Mosque.

According to Jordan News Agency, Awqaf Minister Dr. Mohammad Khalayleh addressed the gathering, highlighting that Al Israa wal Miraj honored Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in particular and the Muslim nation as a whole. The minister emphasized the Hashemite custodianship over Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites, describing it as a religious trust and a political, moral, and humanitarian mission that the Hashemites have upheld throughout history.

Dr. Khalayleh further noted that His Majesty King Abdullah II continues to maintain this historical responsibility with wisdom and steadfastness, actively defending Jerusalem's identity and preserving its sanctity.
