Deir alla: Head of the Deir Alla Municipal Committee Raed Al-Azab announced that municipal crews, with the assistance of rented machinery, are engaged in efforts to widen and deepen the Zarqa River channel. This initiative aims to accommodate the largest possible volume of water as a precautionary measure against potential emergencies.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Azab emphasized the municipality's commitment to deepening the river channel, particularly since the water flow originates from the King Talal Dam. The municipality has previously taken steps to remove obstructions from the channel and relocate residents living near the river to ensure their safety.
Al-Azab highlighted that the deepening of the channel is a proactive measure in anticipation of any additional water discharge from the dam. He stressed that municipal crews are working continuously around the clock to manage the situation effectively.
