Amman: The Director General of the Jordan Customs Department, Maj. Gen. Customs Ahmed Al-Akaleek, made a surprise visit to the Jaber Border Customs Center to assess on the ground the ongoing shipping crisis and review the progress of procedures and the challenges facing operations.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Akaleek directed officials to develop practical and swift solutions, as well as contingency plans and viable alternatives to ensure the smooth flow of freight traffic and respond efficiently to any increase or developments in cross-border trade.
He also stressed the importance of coordination among all authorities operating at the center and the need to address challenges promptly.
