The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a verbal message to the interim President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré on bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation.
The message was conveyed by the Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, during his meeting today with Traoré at the Presidential Palace in Ouagadougou.
During the meeting, Advisor Qattan conveyed to the interim President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister and their wishes to the government and people of Burkina Faso for further progress and prosperity.
In turn, the interim President of Burkina Faso extended his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and the government and people of the Kingdom.
The bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed and views were exchanged on several issues of common interest.
Moreover, Traoré affirmed his country’s full support for the Kingdom’s bid to host Expo 2030 in the city of Riyadh.
He also welcomed the first Saudi-African and the fifth Arab-African summits to be held in the Kingdom this year.
Following the meeting, a press conference was held during which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso Ms. Olivia Rouamba confirmed her country's full support for the Kingdom' bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Advisor Qattan expressed the Kingdom's thanks and gratitude to Burkina Faso for its support, which reflects the strong relations between the two countries.
