Culture Minister, Swedish Ambassador discuss ties

Minister of Culture, Ali Al-Ayed, on Tuesday discussed with the Swedish Ambassador to Jordan, Alexandra Rydmark, ways to enhance cultural relations between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, bot officials exchanged views on various issues of common interest, including the cultural exchange between the two friendly countries, and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding in cultural affairs in order to implement joint projects and exchange experiences in various fields.

Al-Ayed stressed Jordan’s desire to increase cooperation and coordination frameworks in order to develop joint cultural programs that contribute to strengthening relations between the two friendly countries.

The Minister of Culture referred to the projects that the ministry is working on, including those related to preserving heritage, indicating the importance of culture in promoting common human values, and the need to spread a culture of joy through arts to eliminate the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

For her part, Ambassador Rydmark lauded Jordan’s pivotal role in the region, pointing out to joint cooperation in regional issues and in implementing many joint projects that benefit the peoples of the region.
