CSPD generates JD35 million, completes 3 million transactions in 2021

The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) has generated JD35 million in revenues in 2021, all of which were channeled to the state treasury.

CSPD director general, Fahed Omoush, on Wednesday told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the CSPD provided the state treasury with JD34,965 million at the end of last year.

Omoush added that in 2021, the CSPD completed more than 3 million transactions, across all citizens’ personal documents.

He noted that the CSPD had issued more than 572,000 passport, while the number of smart IDs issued by the department to citizens amounted to 340,000 in 2021.

Omoush explained that the CSPD issued 1,3876 certificates of events record (marriage, divorce, death, birth), and more than 223,000 family books last year, while the rest were distributed across other transactions.

Omoush pointed out that the number of transactions that were submitted via e-services inside and outside the Kingdom amounted to 69,941, noting that 177,242 transactions were submitted to Jordanian expatriates abroad through the department of embassies and consulates in the CSPD.
