Crown Prince Reviews Progress on Aqaba International Circuit and City Park Projects

Aqaba: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II visited the Aqaba International Circuit (AIC) and the Aqaba City Park to review the progress of these projects. The Crown Prince stressed the importance of timely completion while adhering to the highest technical and engineering standards to bolster Aqaba's status as a tourism and development hub.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince emphasized selecting a suitable operator for the AIC following international best practices and highlighted its economic significance. For the city park, he underscored the necessity of providing quality recreational and community spaces and establishing a sustainable operation and maintenance plan.

Aqaba Development Corporation Chief Executive Officer Hussein Safadi briefed the Crown Prince on the current progress and future plans. Safadi detailed that the AIC covers 1,145 dunums and includes facilities for future Formula 3 races, a karting training track, and a paddock area. The city park will feature sports pitches, plazas, a theatre, and pathways for foot and cycle traffic.

Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain accompanied His Royal Highness during the site visits.
