Crown Prince Emphasizes Digital Transformation at Ministry Visit


Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II visited the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, meeting with the developers of the Sanad application. The Crown Prince highlighted the necessity of enhancing the app’s success by broadening the range of government services it provides to streamline procedures for citizens.



According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince remarked on Sanad’s pivotal role in Jordan’s digital transformation, due to its impact on simplifying access to government services and improving their efficiency. He stressed the ongoing development of the app, incorporating feedback from citizens to better serve their needs.



His Royal Highness called on government agencies using the app to maintain coordination to address any feedback regarding e-services. During the visit, Crown Prince Al Hussein was informed by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat and several Sanad developers about the latest updates to the app. These include future development plans that incorporate artificial intelligence, expansion of offered government services, and an increase in the number of transactions conducted through the app.



The Sanad app has seen the activation of approximately 2.5 million digital IDs, marking significant progress in Jordan’s digital infrastructure.
