Amman: Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Sunday attended the closing ceremony of the 33rd edition of the National Hashemite Competition for the Memorisation and Recitation of the Holy Quran for Men. The event, organised annually by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, took place at the King Hussein bin Talal Mosque.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the closing ceremony, the Crown Prince presented certificates to the 35 winners from a pool of 4,000 participants this year. In addition, certificates were awarded to the seven members serving on the jury.
The ceremony saw the presence of several senior civilian and military officials, along with muftis, Sharia judges, and imams, emphasizing the significance of the event in the country's religious and cultural calendar.
