Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II met with Austria Vice-Chancellor Andreas Babler on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between the Jordanian and Austrian national football teams. The meeting underscored the significance of international sporting events in fostering stronger bilateral relations between Jordan and Austria.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince conveyed his best wishes to both national teams participating in the World Cup. He emphasized Austria's planned participation in the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference, scheduled for the end of this year, as a pivotal opportunity to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations.
The Crown Prince also extended congratulations to Austria for its recent election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. He acknowledged Austria's essential role in supporting global efforts to advance peace, security, and stability. Jordan's Ambassador to the United States, Dina Kawar, and Zaid Baqain, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince, were present at the meeting.
