Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II visited the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, where he reviewed its future programs and projects. During his visit, he chaired a meeting on the National Council for Future Technology’s national data program, emphasizing the importance of linking and unifying government databases. He noted the necessity of developing an institutional culture geared towards data use and management.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince underscored the significance of maintaining accuracy in data registration to improve e-government services and facilitate citizens’ access. The council members discussed the potential of data to enhance citizen services by collecting accurate data, standardizing database structures, and advancing digital infrastructure.
During the visit, the Crown Prince was briefed on the Youth, Technology and Jobs project, designed to boost the digital skills of youth, expand digital economy applications, and support the digital transformation of government services. He also learned about the work of the Digital Transformation and Empowerment Department, which focuses on digital infrastructure and data management, government digital services, the Sanad platform, digital identity and security, and inter-governmental data exchange and connectivity.
The meeting was attended by relevant ministers and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain.
