Crown Prince Al Hussein Engages with Maritime Counterterrorism Team

Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II visited the Maritime Counterterrorism Team of the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces on Thursday. The visit underscored the significance of maintaining high combat readiness in maritime counterterrorism operations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince was briefed by the team’s leader on their tasks, duties, training, and achievements. This included an overview of specialised training programmes and the latest developments in naval operations. The discussions also highlighted plans to secure vital water facilities in collaboration with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and various security agencies.

His Royal Highness attended an exhibition showcasing modern equipment and machinery recently adopted by the team. He also observed the team conducting exercises that demonstrated their capabilities in handling moving maritime targets and executing night-time missions using advanced surveillance and navigation equipment, adaptable to various weather conditions.
