Controlled Blast Planned in Yajouz to Remove Rocky Obstructions

Amman: A controlled blast will be conducted at midday on Wednesday to remove a rocky section in Yajouz, northeast of Amman, near the perimeter of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army's (JAF) General Command headquarters, a military source said. It is intended to remove rocky obstructions and improve site conditions in line with public safety requirements, it said in a statement.

According to Jordan News Agency, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of citizens and property, said the source, adding that the blast will be conducted at specified times under the supervision of the Royal Engineering Corps, and will have no impact beyond the designated site.

The source urged residents in nearby areas not to be alarmed or approach the work site, and to follow instructions by the relevant authorities.
