Conference on primary health care kicks off

A scientific conference on primary health care and well-being, organized by the

Jordan University of Science and Technology kicked off on Sunday.

Rowaida al-Maaitah, Consultant for Health and Social Development, patronized the conference on behalf of HRH Princess Muna Al-Hussein. With the participation of experts, it tackled primary care transformation, comprehensive health insurance, and health service development.

The conference also included workshops and lectures on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.

On the conference’s sidelines, a trilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the organizer, the British University of Huddersfield, and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) to develop research projects in clinical practice, epidemiology, and public health, in addition to training programs on antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases.
