Amman: Economic experts and media professionals Saturday explored investment opportunities and challenges in Jordan at a conference, dubbed “Economic Environment in Jordan and Enhancing the Investment Gateway.”
According to Jordan News Agency, during the sessions organized by Smart Solutions Program Management Company, in cooperation with strategic partners, participants noted the importance of the conference, which aims to strengthen Jordan’s status as a regional investment hub, stimulate the business environment, and open avenues for dialogue between business stakeholders and investors across various sectors. The focus was particularly on development zones and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, recognized as attractive locations for investment.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Government Communication, Zaid Al-Nawaiseh, emphasized the critical role of the media in shaping Jordan’s image as a business magnet. He highlighted that the Ministry is developing media plans and communication strategies to showcase Jordan’s competitive features, such as security, stability, and incentive-based legislation. Al-Nawaiseh stressed that the media is a key partner in promoting economic reforms and building investor confidence by transparently and credibly highlighting success stories.
Jordan Press Association President, Tariq Momani, addressed the necessity of keeping pace with technological advancements in the media sector, especially concerning artificial intelligence. He urged for the training of journalists in economic analysis and economic news coverage to better inform and engage stakeholders.
Arab Potash Company CEO, Maan Nsour, shared insights into the company’s achievements in gaining a global standing in potash and fertilizer products within a short timeframe. Nsour stated that the company continues to compete with regional peers, achieving significant growth and development through optimal utilization of natural resources and the adoption of long-term strategies in innovation and digital transformation.
