The West Bank city of Jenin declared a full-scale strike on Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners who escaped the maximum-security prison of Gilboa last week and were re-arrested by the Israeli occupation forces.
All shops, schools, universities, and public institutions closed their doors today, eyewitnesses told Petra’s reporter in Ramallah.
In a statement, the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces that called for today’s strike affirmed that it stands by the prisoners in the injustice and daily attacks they are subjected to at various Israeli jails.
