Cold Weather Conditions Forecast Across Jordan for Coming Days

Amman: Temperatures will rise on Friday to hover around their seasonal averages, with partly cloudy skies and generally cold conditions across most parts of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD). Weather will be slightly cool in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

According to Jordan News Agency, the JMD stated that scattered rain showers are expected during the morning hours in various regions, with westerly winds that will be moderate and occasionally active. The department also warned of occasional reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, particularly in desert areas, and highlighted the risk of slippery roads in locations experiencing rainfall.

On Saturday, a slight drop in temperatures is anticipated, maintaining cold conditions in most areas, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain slightly cool. Clouds will appear at different altitudes, and there is a chance of light, intermittent rain in northern regions and parts of the southeastern areas for short periods. Winds will shift to northwesterly and moderate, with occasional gusts.

By Sunday, the cold weather will persist across most regions, with slightly cooler conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds are expected, alongside light and variable winds. A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Monday, as the weather remains cold in most areas and pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds and moderate southeasterly winds, which may become active at times, are anticipated.

In the capital Amman, temperatures will range between a high of 11 degrees Celsius and a low of 3 degrees. In the port city of Aqaba, daytime highs will reach 22 degrees, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 15 degrees.
