Charity, Organizational Efforts Accompany Worshippers at Masjid Al-Qiblatain

Madinah: Worshippers and visitors to the major historical mosques in Medina are receiving comprehensive services and attention during the holy month of Ramadan to ensure a complete atmosphere of peace, safety, and tranquility while performing their rituals. Large numbers of visitors and worshippers gather daily at Masjid Al-Qiblatain, meaning "two directions," located approximately five kilometers west of the Prophet's Mosque. They benefit from a range of services provided by concerned agencies, including crowd management, iftar and water distribution, guidance, and security services. Photographers from the Saudi News Agency (SPA) have captured scenes of fasting individuals circling iftar banquets at Masjid Al-Qiblatain, which has been undergoing development works for months as part of the "Al-Qiblatain Cultural Center" initiative implemented by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority. The Al-Qiblatain Cultural Center project covers an area of 12,000 square meters and includes the expansion of the mosq ue and its facilities to accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers. It also involves the construction of an 8,100-square-meter pedestrian bridge and various services associated with the project, such as a 600-square-meter cultural center, exhibition halls, and multi-purpose sales outlets. Additionally, the recently opened Qiblatain Tunnel, a component of the project, has improved traffic flow towards the western areas of Madinah. Source: Saudi Press Agency
