Amman: Chairman of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Deifallah Farajat, and Zuhair Khashman, Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO of Jordan Aviation Company (JAV), discussed joint cooperation on Tuesday, focusing on key challenges facing Jordan's aviation sector.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of the partnership between JAV and CARC, which serves as the legislative and regulatory authority for the Kingdom's aviation sector. Both parties commended CARC's role in offering technical and regulatory support to national carriers and airlines.
During the discussions, the operational activities of JAV were reviewed, noting that the company transported over 300,000 passengers during 2025, reflecting the growing trust of passengers in the services provided by national carriers. The meeting also highlighted JAV's significant contribution to the national economy by creating job opportunities for many Jordanians across various technical and administrative roles.
Looking ahead, the dialogue included JAV's strategic plans to expand its network of destinations and enhance its fleet to align with global advancements in the air transport sector. Farajat acknowledged JAV's role as a national entity that strengthens Jordan's standing in the regional aviation landscape.
He also reaffirmed the commission's dedication to addressing challenges faced by national carriers to support their investments and ensure the safety and security of civil aviation.
