Canadian, Australian Ambassadors Explore Arab Potash Company’s Strategic Vision

Ghor al safi: Canadian Ambassador Louis-Martin Aumais and Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch recently met with Arab Potash Company (APC) Chair Shehadeh Abu Hdeib and CEO Maen Nsour to gain insights into the company’s operations and its significant role in the global fertiliser industry.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ambassadors attended a detailed presentation that highlighted APC’s history, achievements, and expansion plans. Following the presentation, they toured the company’s facilities and praised APC for its efficiency, adherence to quality standards, and commitment to environmental and occupational safety.

During the visit, Abu Hdeib emphasized the strong diplomatic and economic ties between Jordan, Canada, and Australia. He remarked that the ambassadors’ visit underscores the international interest in APC’s innovative approach and its contributions to the economy. Abu Hdeib also highlighted the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability, particularly through investments in renewable energy sources like solar power.

Nsour provided further insights into APC’s strategic developments, stating that ongoing projects are designed to enhance the company’s global presence through diversification and the adoption of advanced technologies. A key component of APC’s comprehensive expansion plan, set through 2034, is to increase potash production to 3.7 million tons annually and to establish new processing plants.

The ambassadors expressed admiration for APC’s robust industrial infrastructure and indicated a keen interest in fostering greater collaboration with Jordan in sectors such as mining, clean technologies, and fertilisers.
