Cabinet approves tax, customs settlements

The Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, on Thursday approved the recommendations of the settlement and conciliation committee related to settling pending cases between 1,200 companies and taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department.

The Council of Ministers also approved the committee’s recommendations to settle 11 pending cases between taxpayers and/or violators, and Jordan Customs.

The settlements commit the beneficiaries to pay the full remaining amounts with any fees, taxes or expenses within a two-month period from the date of this Cabinet decision.
