Amman, A Cabinet session held Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, approved draft amendments to the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) Law for the year 2022.
The draft comes to enhance the principle of impartiality and objectivity, avoid conflicts of interest and the impact of party and intellectual affiliation on the work of the Chairperson and Commissioner General of the NCHR.
The amendments stipulate that whoever is appointed as Chairman or Commissioner General of the NCHR, should not be affiliated with any political party
