Cabinet approves bylaw to regulate ‘temporary’ vehicle, equipment admission procedures

A Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday approved the 2021 bylaw regulating temporary admission of vehicles, machinery and equipment into the Kingdom.

The bylaw seeks to develop and regulate the temporary entry mechanism for vehicles, machinery and equipment necessary to exceute projects and perform scientific and practical tests, and define the conditions and guarantees necessary for this purpose (usage).

The Council of Ministers, moreover, approved 2021 Border Measures Bylaw for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, aimed to regulate suspension of clearance procedures and prevent release of imported goods that infringe any intellectual property rights.

The Cabinet also approved a 2021 bylaw to facilitate customs procedures for the obligated authorities, which aims to grant the entities bound by provisions of the Customs Law advantages and customs facilitations, and regulate the conditions and procedures to join and exit any facilitation list.
