Cabinet approves 2021 tax, fee refunding bylaw for re-exported goods

A Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday approved a bylaw to refund fees and taxes on re-exported goods due to their different specifications or damaged condition, before being shipped from warehouses.

The bylaw aims to regulate the mechanism to refunding fees and taxes on re-exported goods per the above-mentioned requirements, identifying applicable refunding cases and the related conditions, as well as setting procedures to be taken by the concerned person and Jordan Customs for this purpose.

The Council of Ministers also endorsed the 2021 Elderly Care Bylaw, aimed to providing health, psychological and social care services to the elderly people, by creating a special account for this purpose, identifying spending aspects, and encouraging sponsor stakeholders to provide home care.

The Cabinet, moreover, okayed the 2021 Administrative Regulation Bylaw for Jordan Securities Commission (JSC), which includes development of an organizational structure that regulates JSC’s functions and its internal communication and coordination channels.
