Cabinet approve amendment to private hospitals bylaw

The Cabinet Sunday approved the reasoning for a draft amendment to the private hospital bylaw for 2022.

The amendment is aimed at strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, providing emergency patients with specialised and safe health services and transporting patients to private hospitals by the Civil Defence Department (CDD).

The amendment seeks to slash the cost of medical treatment for non-Jordanians by putting fixed rates. It would also provide more human resources to the sector and develop the medical services for patients, including medical tourists.

The Cabinet approved the legal reasons for an amendment to the extraction, mining and processing of nuclear materials for 2022.

The amendments aim to define the basic requirements and regulatory controls that govern practices and work related to the field of extraction, mining, processing and prospecting for nuclear materials as per the provisions of the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety and Security Law No. (43) of 2007.

The Cabinet approved the reasoning for the project of the administrative organisational chart of the General Ifta Department for 2022. It is aimed at expanding supervision of fatwa services in the department, increasing the competence in the supervisory work, organising work in the advisory offices in the governorates and districts and following up on their performance.

The Cabinet approved the reasoning for the establishment of the new Hashemite municipality court for 2022.
