Amman: The Media Commission on Tuesday circulated to media organizations a letter issued by the Attorney General of the Major Criminal Court imposing a gag order on coverage of a shooting incident in the Ashrafieh area.
According to Jordan News Agency, the letter specifies that media outlets are prohibited from publishing any information related to the case or the ongoing investigation. It also restricts the publishing, republishing, or circulating of any photographs, video footage, or other materials connected to the incident, citing potential adverse effects on the course of the investigation. The directive emphasized that violations of the order could result in criminal liability.
