Amman: First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives Mustafa Khasawneh stated that any attempt to undermine Jordan’s security and stability is a crime, a cowardly act, and a gross betrayal that is rejected by every Jordanian, who will not allow it.
According to Jordan News Agency, Khasawneh emphasized in a statement issued Tuesday that attempts to tamper with Jordan’s security and stability are unacceptable and constitute crimes that necessitate a firm response against anyone daring to threaten the security, safety, and property of Jordanians or their homeland.
He highlighted that the plots uncovered by the General Intelligence Directorate, known as “Knights of the Right,” represent a fully realized crime deserving the harshest penalties, with no room for leniency or tolerance towards those responsible.
Khasawneh expressed pride in the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army – and security agencies, underscoring that the people of Jordan stand united behind their Hashemite leadership, their noble army, and their brave security personnel.
He also lauded the General Intelligence Directorate’s officers for their heroic efforts in tracking down the misguided group and exposing their plans, reaffirming that Jordan, with divine support, will remain resilient against its adversaries.
