Aqaba: The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) has launched the “At Your Service” guidance and support service at King Hussein International Airport. The initiative aims to enhance the passenger experience and promote Aqaba as a burgeoning tourism and investment hub.
According to Jordan News Agency, the complimentary passenger and ground handling service is part of an operational strategy that encompasses a wide array of flights. This initiative provides a comprehensive experience, reinforcing Aqaba’s status as a major gateway for visitors from both regional and international markets. The ADC highlighted that this service is a component of their strategy to upgrade the tourism services system and improve the efficiency of vital facilities in collaboration with airport management.
The service features a specialized team dedicated to welcoming passengers, guiding them throughout their airport journey, and providing information on logistical procedures as well as Aqaba’s landmarks and tourist sites, including Petra and Wadi Rum. Team members sport a QR code on their uniforms, granting visitors direct access to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority’s (ASEZA) visitaqaba.com platform, which serves as a guide to marine activities, archaeological sites, entertainment, shopping, and other services.
Additionally, the service extends support to the elderly and people with disabilities, ensuring comfortable movement within airport facilities and a seamless travel experience. ADC’s CEO, Hussein Al-Safadi, commented on the initiative, labeling it “a qualitative move” aimed at elevating the level of service for visitors and streamlining arrival and departure procedures.
