Army Foils Drug Smuggling Attempts Using Electronically Guided Balloons

Madaba: The Eastern Military Zone: The Eastern Military Zone early Thursday foiled two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics carried by electronically guided balloons. Border Guard units, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected the balloons, engaged them, and brought down the payload inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
