Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti sponsored the graduation ceremony of the fourth cohort of officers enrolled in the bridging program at the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) Technical University College for Aviation Sciences. The graduates earned bachelor’s degrees in Aviation Sciences, Air Traffic and Navigation Sciences, and candidates in Aviation Management.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ceremony was attended by the RJAF Commander, the Dean of the College, and senior military officers. It also marked the graduation of a new class from the Professional Diploma in Defense Resource Management Program. The Dean commended the graduates for their dedication and achievement, highlighting the college’s milestones in modernization and development. The college has recently been admitted to the Association of Arab Universities and is implementing Arab University Ranking standards to improve educational quality, research, innovation, and international collaboration.
The college is now a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Training Center under the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, enabling it to qualify technicians and engineers for B1.1/B2 maintenance licenses. This supports the Royal Air Force and the broader labor market. A postgraduate department has also been launched, with a master’s program in human and defense resources management.
Maj. Gen. Huneiti presented certificates and commendations to the graduates at the end of the ceremony. In a related event, he inaugurated the new School for Flight Instructors, aiming to train Jordanian aviation instructors to global standards. This new school will enhance training quality using advanced curricula to improve competencies and foster collaboration with institutions involved in military pilot training. Huneiti expressed his best wishes for the success of this new educational center.
The Jordan Armed Forces are advancing a comprehensive strategy focused on modernizing capabilities in vital disciplines, ensuring personnel possess cutting-edge skills to bolster national security and reinforce Jordan’s regional defense role.
