Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Thursday discussed ways to enhance military cooperation and coordination between the Jordanian and Romanian armed forces.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was held at the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)’s General Command with Romanian Ambassador to Amman, George Maior, and his accompanying delegation. The discussions focused on developing areas of joint partnership, mainly concentrating on training, capacity building, and expertise exchange to serve common interests and support efforts in achieving regional security and stability.
During the meeting, Huneiti emphasized the strong bilateral relations, expressing the JAF’s commitment to expanding joint cooperation in various military and security fields. The Romanian envoy reciprocated by appreciating the Kingdom’s efforts under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership in enhancing security and stability in the region.
Additionally, the diplomat commended the JAF’s significant role and its high level of training and military professionalism. The meeting was also attended by several senior JAF officers and the Romanian military attach© in Amman.
