Army chief receives Omani counterpart

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj.Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Tuesday received Chief of Staff of the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces, Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al Raisi, and the accompanying delegation.

Huneiti and Al Raisi discussed the latest regional and international developments, aspects of cooperation and coordination in the field of joint military training, exchange of expertise and military drills and ways to enhance bilateral relations to serve the interests of the armed forces in both countries.

On behalf of His Majesty the King, the army chief awarded his Omani counterpart the Order of Military Merit-First Grade in appreciation of his commendable qualities and his efforts to enhance military cooperation relations between the two countries.

The army chief and the guest delegation attended a military drill at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC), and delegation was briefed on the drill

followed a military exercise at the King Abdullah II Center for Special Operations Training (KASOTC), where he listened to a briefing about the exercise, which aims to raise the combat efficiency and military expertise of participants at various operational and training levels, in addition to the qualitative training for officers of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army.

The guest delegation also visited the Royal Medical Services (RMS), and toured the Princess Muna College of Nursing, the National Emergency and Medical Services Educational Center and Queen Alia Center for Heart Disease.
