Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF), Yousef Huneiti, met with a US Congress delegation to discuss expanding military and defense cooperation and address issues of mutual concern.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting took place at the JAF's headquarters where the delegation was briefed on JAF operations, border security protocols, and efforts to maintain regional stability. Huneiti expressed gratitude for the US's continued military support and emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral defense ties.
The US delegation acknowledged Jordan's efforts under His Majesty King Abdullah II to promote peace in the region and commended the strong operational partnership between Amman and Washington.
