AREC to Honor Jordanian Figures for Energy Service Next May

Amman: The Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC) announced it will honor Jordanian personalities at the 10th Arab Energy Forum from May 18-20 as the “best” national figures in job performance during their previous tenures.

According to Jordan News Agency, AREC stated that former Jordanian energy ministers, Dr. Muhammad Hamed and Qutaiba Abu Qura, along with former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy, Ghaleb Ma’abreh, and ex-Director-General of the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), Abdul Fattah Daradkeh, will be recognized for their job performance and reputation.

AREC emphasized that the honored figures have significantly contributed to the dissemination of energy and renewable energy systems in Jordan. Their efforts have been marked by confidence and competence, serving citizens effectively.

The commission has established precise standards for promoting national leaders and competencies, positioning them as a reference for the Arab energy market. AREC highlighted that these criteria can serve as a specialized technical and advisory reference, underscoring the importance of experience and competence in supporting Arab countries in the energy sector.
