Amman: The Arab Parliament expressed its strong rejection and condemnation of any initiatives or attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, deeming such initiatives as an attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause. The Parliament stated that these actions represent a blatant violation of international legitimacy resolutions and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
According to Jordan News Agency, Arab Parliament President Mohammed Al-Yamahi emphasized that forcible displacement is a crime under international humanitarian law, calling on the international community to clearly and unequivocally reject such initiatives and to take positions that promote a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian cause.
This includes ending all forms of occupation and halting the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, and working to bring peace and security to the region.
Al-Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament’s full support for the Palestinian people in their steadfastness to retain their land and their struggle to achieve all their inalienable rights, foremost among them the right of return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
He called on international and regional parliaments to urge their governments to protect these rights and to support the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of plans and initiatives aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
