Amman: Arab Parliament President Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi commended Jordan’s efforts to reach a roadmap to resolve the crisis in the Syrian city of Sweida.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Yamahi highlighted Jordan’s commitment to resolving the crisis following the tripartite Amman meeting, which was hosted by the Kingdom. This meeting brought together the Syrian Foreign Minister, the US Special Envoy to Syria, and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
The president welcomed the announcement of the roadmap, which aims to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and uphold the principle of national unity among all Syrians.
In a statement, Al-Yamahi affirmed the Arab Parliament’s support for efforts aimed at achieving Syria’s stability, supporting its people’s unity, and enhancing their aspirations for a dignified life in security, peace, and prosperity. He also called for building on this step to preserve Syria’s national unity and promote its civil peace.
